Purchase Agreement

Well last night (Sept. 24th) was the big night. After much debate we decided to make the move and sign the agreement. The process took just over 1 hour to complete. We also selected our stone and siding colors so we could lock in our choices. We selected Boral Bucks County Stone Veneer, Variform Stone Mountain Clay w/ white trim and accents and a white Wayne Dalton Garage Door, Black Shutters and a Wine Colored front door.
The Next Step is meeting with Guardian to review our tv and data port connection locations followed by meeting with our Finance Office to finalize our loan app. and then one more meeting to meet with a flooring company. So the next few weeks are going to be busy. We did however have our first viewing of our current home. So Fingers Crossed.

Ryan Home Sienna Model
Hello Everyone!!!
I have been reading allot of blogs pertaining to building a Ryan Home and those blogs have helped my wife and I to decide to move forward. So I feel it is our duty to share our experience with the next person looking at building a Ryan Home. So thank you to everyone that has shared their experience with us, now let us share ours with you.

Who we are.
My wife and I and our son and our English Bulldog have decided to move forward with building a Ryan Home. Both my wife and I have worked in the construction industry throughout the years and are familiar with building but never thought we would be able to financially do this. We currently own a home that we have placed for sale thanks to our wonderful Agent Alan Henderson from Northwood Realty.

Where it all started.
On Sept. 11, 2012 we decided to visit a Ryan Home plan in a great neighborhood that was just about 30 mins from our current home and was located in a very great school district(Very important because of our son). We met with the Sales Rep and discussed our options and toured the Florence Model home. After much research prior to, we were sold on the Sienna Model, mainly because of the price and the fact that we could add options and really make the home our own, instead of doing a larger base model with no options. So that night we priced a Sienna Plan in an Elevation "B" and selected a Morning Room and Stone on the front along with Stone along the foundation. This month they offered a Dream Kitchen Upgrade so we of course went with it and added Timberlake Maple Cognac Cabinets and Granite Coutertops along with a Stainless package. After the meeting we had come to realize that we could possibly do this. But, with one major issue and that being my past credit. Thanks to our SP she had our finance officer run my credit and my wife's and wouldn't you know we QUALIFY!!!!!

So step forward 5 days and now our agent is working to get our current house on the market.

Next Day Sept, 17th. Our house is up and FOR SALE. Fingers crossed it sales before we close.
On Sept, 18th, I went and wrote a check to hold our lot. Here is a view of our lot and a look at the amazing view we will have from our Morning Room.

This past Thursday Sept, 20 we decided to go with our Agent Alan again and meet with the SP at Ryan and review a few things prior to signing our Purchase Agreement on this upcoming Monday. One of the concerns is what happens to our good faith money we sign away on Monday as our deposit if the Financing falls through or before we can lock in our rate, the rates shoot up. Well after a few hours of meeting and many questions we feel better. It is such a crazy feeling to know that you are about to purchase and build a new home that you have always dreamed of. Even though I myself feel sick to my stomach with fear and excitement I am really looking forward to growing old with my wife here and enjoying our view from our back deck. Well this is our start to what we hope is a wonderful experience. I will try my best to keep everyone up to date with everything as it progresses.
